This ongoing project centers on the intervention of a modernist vacation house in Nikiana, Lefkada, originally designed by Kostas Asprogerakas and landscape designed by Atelier 66 (Dimitris and Suzana Antonakakis). The house stands as a notable manifestation of the generation that shaped contemporary Greek architecture through the synthesis of international modernism and regional context. Conceived within the framework of Critical Regionalism, the project reflects the enduring dialogue between the rationalist grid and the specificities of the landscape, climate, and local topography.

Initially established as a paradigm of bioclimatic domestic design, the house integrated local materials, such as traditional stonework, with lightweight structural frames, carefully zoning interior spaces and outdoor living areas to mediate between shelter and the Ionian coastal environment. Among its notable artistic and craft elements, the house features distinct vitro works executed in 1976 by Meropi Preka, embedding a unique layer of mid-century Greek artistic collaboration into the fabric of the residence.

Currently in an exploratory and investigative phase, the project focuses on documenting and analyzing the original architectural language, tectonic syntax, and spatial pathways of the house.
